It’s the first day of Fall! Literally my favorite season. All things spice, beautiful trees, cool breezes, and coziness. I have a hard time not using exclamations at the end of every sentence. I guess it’s my way of expressing my extreme excitement or passion for the things found between the punctuation marks. I feel the need to update you on my life and how much things have shifted in the past year. But for the sake of your time and mine, let’s just be those friends that pick up right where we left off. Maybe at the end of this entry, I’ll give a short bullet list of things that have happened since my last entry. We will see.
Now that that is out of the way, I hope you are having an enjoyable and pleasant 2019. We are about to jump into the next decade! It’s crazy to think that the person born on 9/11/2001 just celebrated their 18th birthday. New life in the midst of tragedy. But that’s another topic for another day. “Where have you been Denae? And why the sudden interest in writing again?” My friend really encouraged me to jump back into this blogging world as a means of pursuing my passions and being creative in some way and I appreciate that. Discipleship relationships are far too valuable to pass up. Please do yourself a favor and pray about who you can ask to be a mentor in your life or who you can be a mentor to. I promise you will not regret it. Without going into too much detail I am walking through some deep body image struggles and I’m in need of some sort of creative distraction so that I’m pulled from the environment of constant consumption. That’s a mouth full! I have been fearful of coming back from a hiatus because of this need to update and bring you up to speed on the details in my life. I’m not much of a frequent poster on my personal Instagram so I feel that need to do it here. But like I said, I’m resisting and don’t need to feel pressured to bring everything back to the table! Heck, I don’t even remember some of the things that have happened over the last year.
Anyways, let’s get to the meat of this post! I have been seeing a bunch of Fall Bucket List photos on Pinterest and they seem super fun but honestly half of those things I can’t accomplish in Texas. And that’s okay. I wanted to make one for myself as a continuation of the series I kicked off with the 30 Things before 30 Bucket List I wrote last year. I was thinking about doing an update on that since some things have been accomplished! I wanted to really think through this list and give room for spontaneity but also intention. I wanted these things to be fun and opportunities for me to make memories. I’m curious what some of the things on your list would be. Let me know down below!
