Our Wedding Music Selection

I absolutely love music, I love the emotions, memories, and feelings it brings with every note. If you’re like me you have probably scoured through Pinterest playlists trying to find all the best music to play at your wedding. I have narrowed down my favorites/the ones we used for our wedding. I hope that this serves as some more inspiration and points you to songs you may not have given a second thought to. You can also follow me on Spotify (Denae Heaton) for more playlists outside the realm of weddings.

Ceremony Playlist:

This playlist was pretty structured, obviously. I had one song directed to start at 20 seconds because the intro was super long. But this took me so long to finalize. There are many great songs out there and I didn’t want to be status quo and pick songs that had been played a thousand times. No judgment if you do, that’s just not what I had envisioned.

Bridal Party Entrance: I Need Thee Every Hour-David Tolk

Bride Entrance: Ameri Can I- Young Collective

Worship Songs: Great are you Lord, Good, Good Father

Washing of the Feet: Holy Moment-Chris McClarney

Recessional: My Dear-Bethel Music

Reception Playlist:

I have two other playlists for casual chit-chat during the cocktail hour before the bridal party arrived and for the dance party, we had during the reception. Both of those can be found on my Spotify profile. It would take forever to list those songs and I figured it would be easier to add to a playlist you have directly from the ones we used. These are the specific songs we used for the different portions of our reception though.

Entrance: When I’m With You- Ben Rector

First Dance: Touching Heaven- Johnnyswim

Father/Daughter: When I Pray For You- Dan + Shay

Mother/Son: 93 Million Miles-Jason Mraz

Bouquet Toss: Dear Future Husband-Meghan Trainor

Garter Toss: Eye of the Tiger- Survivor

Cake Cutting: Brand New-Ben Rector

Send Off: When I’m With You: Ben Rector
